Found Wire Line Sculptures

 Found metal wire has been an obsession for years. The happenstance design that has exerted itself upon this wire fascinates me. I do not alter it in anyway. The photographs present the way I encounter these random line drawings.

My time as a dancer has informed so much of my art and life.
Knowledge of body memory has been essential for me.

Several years ago I made a journey to visit a very special stupa in Questa, New Mexico. This particular stupa can be entered. It's a small but intense sacred space and once within you are surrounded by lapis blue walls decorated with Tibetan Goddesses. The stupa in Santa Fe is larger but similar and also filled with amazing artwork.  Living in these troubled times I believe it is vital to nurture our sacred path.  These photographs were part of an experiment that required shooting without looking through the view-finder. This intuitive method turned out surprising results.

The dream like quality captured a memory of the day that seemed more realistic to the emotions.
